Our Weather Art Work

Kindergarten have been learning about the seasons.

We dressed a person in appropriate clothes for our chosen season. We then painted the appropriate background.

Farmer Joe's Hot Day

In Literacy Groups, we have been reading "Farmer Joe's Hot Day". The students imagined they were farmers and wrote a story about what would happen to them on a hot day on the farm.

Our Fishing Stories

We are learning how to continue a story in Writing. Today we wrote about fishing!

Meanies

The Meanies is a Big Book we have studied in class. The students have written their own stories about the meanies.

Farmer Joe's Hot Day

We read a Big Book called Farmer Joe's Hot Day. It was about a farmer that always complained to his wife that he was hot and tired. His wife played a trick on him. Everyday she asked him to put more clothes on. At the end of the story he had so many clothes on that he could not work . He decided that he would never complain again. The children then were asked to write a story about their hot day. Here are some of the stories.

What makes you happy and sad ?

In PDHPE kindergarten have been engaged in activities that help them to identify their feelings. On Friday we discussed things that other people do that make us happy and sad.

Our School Rules

Kindergarten are learning about how they can be SAFE ,THOUGHTFUL and RESPONSIBLE students. We always refer to these rules in our classroom and they are clearly displayed.

Feeding of the Five Thousand

Kindergarten have been studying the scripture story of Feeding of the Five Thousand. In this story Jesus serves others by feeding them. Kindergarten were asked how they could serve other people like Jesus did. Some responses were "If someone gets hurt in the playground you could help them" "Help my mum by cleaning my room" Help my dad in the garden"

Students were asked to illustrate ways they could serve others on an outline of a fish. These are displayed in our classroom.

Buddies

Kindergarten and Year 6 love Wednesday afternoons because they love to meet their buddy. This week KTB visited Year 6 in their classroom and they learnt how to make comments on our blog. KJS did an activity with their buddy about the special people in their life.
